かつて広範な王朝を築き、穏やかに繁栄したアフリカ大陸の中心、コンゴ。その輝かしい伝統音楽とダンスを披露する、世界でも数少ないパフォーマンスグループ の一つ、Li-NgomA（リ・ンゴマ）。ンゴマ（コンガの原型）やンゴンギ（カウベルの原型）から奏でられる高度なポリリズムによる洗練された見事なアンサンブルは、 イスラム教やキリスト教世界の影響を受ける以前から存在していた純然たるアフリカの音楽。ジャズやサンバのルーツがここに見られ、圧倒的なダイナミズム と、ユーモアやストーリー性に富んだエンターテイメントを観客とシェアできるステージは、多くの人々に喜ばれています。ラフィアや羽で作られたクバ王国時 代の壮麗なコスチュームも圧巻。現在各種音楽祭、アフリカンフェスティバル、学校芸術鑑賞会、国際イベント、大使館のパーティ・セレモニーなどで活躍中。 

“Congo” - the center of African Continent where the magnificent Dynasty once flourished peacefully long time ago. “Li-NgomA” is one of the very rare performance group in the world which presents the glorious African traditional music and dance performance inherited from the era of those Kingdoms. The awesome ensemble of poly-rhythm generated from the instruments as “Ngoma” (origin of Conga) and “Ngongi” (origin of Cowbell) is the music of African authenticity existed since long before the influence of Arabisation or Christianisation over the continent. You can feel the roots of “Jazz” or “Samba” from their music. Their stage is always applauded by many audience where you can be a part of their entertainment with absolutely overwhelming dynamism involving the pleasing narrativity and the humor. The gorgeous costumes made of feathers and traditional “Raffia” cloth also is worth appreciating.
